Code of Conduct and safety notes – Sweeney Farm Glamping
We want you to enjoy your time at Sweeney Farm Glamping. You can expect clean, comfortable and functional accommodation with light and power. Our glamping units have kitchen and bathroom facilities, and you get to sleep in a real bed. All towels and bedlinen is provided.
Sweeney Farm is a working dairy farm. You walk across grass and unpaved tracks. The terrain is uneven in places and when it rains it may be muddy. Bring wellies and other sturdy shoes. Please comply with any requests or orders we give relating to safety on the property and around our animals.
Outdoor shoes/wellies should to be removed before entering the glamping accommodation, so please bear that in mind when selecting footwear for your holiday. Please keep the units clean and tidy and remove your rubbish.
Stag/hen parties are not welcomed. If your group members are well behaved and comply with noise requirements, they are most welcome to come enjoy the tranquil beauty of Sweeney Farm. It is not the place for raucous parties or loud music
Loud music is not permitted outside the glamping units. This includes radios, electronic devices with speakers and karaoke machines. You may play music quietly inside your unit or outside as long as it does not disturb other guests, the animals or distant neighbours. QUIETLY is the operative word.
Wood for campfire & cooking
We provide a limited quantity of wood for your fire. You may purchase more from us if you wish.
YOU are responsible for the safety of yourself and your children around the fire and at all times.
Responsibility for Children
YOU are responsible for your children at all times. Every effort is made to ensure the property is as safe as possible, but it is a farm with animals, equipment, sharp corners and un-manicured terrain. Please do not let your children wander unsupervised. It is mandatory to supervise all children around the pond area. Visitors must not enter the pond.
Sweeney Farm operates a NO SMOKING policy within the glamping units in line with UK legislation. Guests who do not comply with this no smoking policy will be charged £100 to include the cost of cleaning all soft furnishing to remove the odour of tobacco.
We reserve the right to determine acceptable levels of noise or behaviour of guests and may request corrective action if noise or behaviour is deemed unacceptable. Failure to comply with our requests, may result in immediate termination of the booking without the right to refund or compensation.
Comments and complaints
Any comment or complaint regarding the stay and facilities should be made to the Owner at the time of visit so that the matter may be addressed immediately.
Sweeney Farm Glamping is subject to statutory controls, including those relating to fire, health and safety. These must be strictly observed by guests.
We take every care to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable holiday, but cannot be held liable for any accidents or consequential loss.
Guests will be invited onto the farm to observe the animals only when supervised by the Owner or a member of staff. We are happy for all our guests to see the working of a dairy farm but you and your children’s safety is your responsibility and no liability can be accepted for any accidents. Please be aware that at times, e.g harvesting, there will be large machinery in the fields. DO NOT enter these fields but keep to the boundary of the accommodation or public footpath. We cannot accept liability for any accidents with farm and/or contractors machinery.
